The service
Online URL Shortener lets you create a compact URL that redirects to a destination you provide. Depending on availability, the service may also provide custom aliases, QR codes, destination previews, link editing, pausing, deletion, and aggregate click counts.
The service is offered without an account. Creating a link does not give you ownership of the service, its domain, or any alias beyond the limited ability to use and manage the link while it remains available.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the destination, alias, content, and context of every link you create. You confirm that you have the right to share the destination and that your use complies with applicable law, third-party rights, and these terms.
You should check a link before distributing it and keep your private management URL secure. You are also responsible for replacing or removing links when their destination becomes inaccurate, unsafe, or no longer authorized.
Prohibited use
You may not use the service to:
- Distribute malware, phishing pages, credential theft, scams, or deceptive content.
- Facilitate harassment, exploitation, unlawful activity, or credible threats of harm.
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
- Evade security controls, spam filters, platform enforcement, or lawful restrictions.
- Interfere with the service, probe it without authorization, or place unreasonable load on it.
- Automate link creation in a way that bypasses rate limits or bot protection.
- Impersonate another person or falsely suggest endorsement, affiliation, or origin.
We may disable or delete links, restrict access, or cooperate with appropriate authorities when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated or action is needed to protect users or the service.
Management keys
Your private management URL acts like a password for the link. We do not store the key in readable form and generally cannot restore it if you lose it. Anyone with the management URL may be able to view link statistics, change the destination, pause the link, or delete it.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep links working, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent storage, a particular feature set, or that any link will remain available forever. We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service, and aliases may be withheld or reserved.
Destination websites are operated by third parties. We do not control or endorse their content, security, availability, or privacy practices.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that links will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Online URL Shortener and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of or inability to use the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer law.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms when the service or applicable requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after revised terms take effect means you accept them.
